Our Teams
1
Core-Teams
Tryouts will determine placement on a core team which will attend 3 base summer events (within the SoCal region) and practice twice a week together from late May through late June.
Core teams for Summer '26 are tentatively planned to be organized into 3 sub-sections.
Elite Teams
Grad year teams that will be composed of the top athletes in their grad years at their position.
(We are expecting Elite 27, Elite 28, and Elite 29.30)
Select Teams
Created based on playing level and may either be mixed grad year, separated by grad year, or a combination - whichever is determined by the coaches to be the best setup for player development and success.
Youth teams
Divided by age & skill level. (We are expecting 31.32, 33.34, & 35.36)
*We consider athletes to play with older grad years when applicable and when coaches determine this as a viable option for an athlete.
Families will be presented with the options at hand and will have the ultimate decision in which route they choose to take.*
2
National
Core team athletes will also receive an invitation to the appropriate National Team as an add-on option.
-
Separate National teams provide our families with flexibility regarding East Coast travel and keep core team costs lower.
-
National teams will be broken into National 27, National 28, National 29.30, & National Open (we will add a National Youth team if we receive enough interest from the younger grad years)
-
These teams are invitation-based, offered first to our core teams.
-
Grad year teams will be invited from Elite core teams & Open will be invited from Select core teams - opening east coast travel and recruiting options for those who previously were not afforded this opportunity.
3
A-la-carte
For those playing at a high level but have a busier summer schedule or for those early in their career and want a more simplified approach to development and playing experience, we've created an a-la-carte structure for the summer season.
*This route does not require tryouts*
Opportunities for this route include:
-
Guest playing at events (depends entirely on what will benefit the core team and only available when a core team could use a few extra hands for an event)
-
OC Tournament Team(s)
-
Instead of our OC teams being a developmental tournament team, we will be offering to put together tournament teams at a few events throughout the season. Teams will be broken up based on playing level (ranging from Elite to Developmental) and will be on a tournament-by-tournament basis with no team practices. Simply show up & play for the weekend.
