Coach Bio

Sam grew up in Ocean City, Maryland playing lacrosse since she could walk. The daughter of a lacrosse coach, she played every position at some point in her career (ask about her time as a goalie for a good laugh) and eventually settled in as an attacker in college at Salisbury University where she played until a back injury ended her career prematurely. 

As a student of the game, she started coaching youth during her freshman year of high school and continues to do so today. Watching others fall in love with the game is her favorite part of coaching. 

With a degree in Mathematics & a Master's in Organizational Leadership, she brings a unique blend of interests and expertise to the field - believing deeply in building the whole female leader through athletics, not just building great lacrosse players. 

Sam currently resides in Wilmington, NC with her husband and corgi pup, Feta (Coach Fettuccine Lison, our unofficial team dog). Before moving to North Carolina to be closer to family, she served as an Associate Head Coach at JSerra HS, Head Coach at Mater Dei HS, Grad Assistant Coach at Concordia University Irvine, and Head Coach at Northwood HS during her time living in Orange County. 

When not on the lacrosse field, you can find Sam at the beach with Feta, a good book, and Starbucks in hand
